Membership Form

We are a nonprofit organization of families and individuals. We provide problem solving assistance and information about the unique challenges of adoption.

Whether you are an adoptive or prospective adoptive family, OURS can help and support you. From infancy to adulthood, the adopted child and family benefit from the education, information and parenting resources we can provide.  We are charter members of the national organization Adoptive Families of America.

 

Purpose:
We provide prospective adoptive families and individuals with information regarding the adoption process, sources of adoption support, and the agencies for potential placement. We respond to questions from members and assist with referrals to appropriate resources. We work for correct representation of adoptive families, educational and cultural seminars, and special interest meetings for those involved in adoption.

We have available for reference a set of adoption exchange listings (for waiting children in Wisconsin and surrounding states), various newsletters from adoption organizations and a lending library of books on adoption.

Members of OURS receive a quarterly newsletter, which features a calendar of upcoming events, adoption news, adoption agency briefs, personal adoption stories, book reviews, special reports, and adoption arrivals within our membership.
